Tianyi Evans Gu
I’m a high school senior at Phillips Academy and an aspiring scientist with an interest in leveraging data analysis, statistical modeling, and sociological insights to address pressing societal challenges, particularly, homelessness, public health, policy, and social equity. I am passionate about exploring opportunities to apply my skills to build a more human-centered and sustainable society.
Currently I’m:
- Incoming Research Affiliate @ Wolfram Institute studying grammatical phase shifts in compression of large language models.
- Student Researcher @ Stanford Statistics for Social Good studying characteristics in health determinant data of Ohio counties with spiking opioid overdoses, recently had poster accepted to workshop at American Medical Informatics Association National Symposium!
- member in the National Alliance to End Homelessness’s (NAEH) Homeless Research Institute Network, joining meetings with professors, advocates, and politicians.
- Software Developer @ MassEnergize building a mobile app adoption of a web-based platform aimed at inspiring local climate action.
- Host @ Wolfram Student Podcast on the Wolfram Research Youtube Channel and part of the Wolfram Student Ambassador Initiative. Lookout for my episodes releasing here!
